20 Year Anniversary

2010 marks the 20th anniversary of the publication  my autobiography Behind the Mask: My Double Life in Baseball. I have had the great honor to meet so many people, whether it was on the book tour, or speaking at colleges, universities or corporations…it has been a great experience.

What has truly humbled me these past years, have been the letters that I have received. To date, including this wonderful world of the internet, I have received thousands of letters. From mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, college students, high school students, professional athletes and college athletes, taking the time to thank me for telling them my story and giving them hope to continue their fight.

After lots of thought and consideration, I have decided to share some of these letters .  They will be, to say the least, thought provoking .  I hope,  that after reading these letters, you will understand why it is so important for us to continue to fight for equal rights for all, and to show understanding for those who are still trying to understand. Remember, these letters will have been written from 1990 thru 2009. You will be amazed at the similarites, although written years apart.

I will indeed be writing about other things, such as social issues, baseball issues, and filling you in on where and when I will be speaking at how it went. But for now, the majority of my posts will be dedicated to the letters!!

So until next time, thanks for reading and for your continued support.

Remember, Never Strike Out!
